What better way to understand who we are than to see some of our oldest and most recent photographs of SWSA skiers?

* The immortal Torger Tokle [Read about Torger].  White shirt and necktie was the proper uniform back then!
* Roy Sherwood in flight at age seventeen (2nd from left).
* Roy Sherwood again with brother Stubby.  Notice the wooden skis.  Shellac was the bottom treatment of choice and waxing was a black art (3rd from left).
* Reese Harris congratulates Dr. Philip Dunham, the "flying dentist" of Brattleboro. Phil dominated Eastern Veterans Class (Masters) competition during the 1960's, winning nine Eastern Veterans titles and a National gold medal (far right).

History of SWSA
Roy Sherwood is SWSA's favorite son, the most successful ski jumper to come out of the local program. (Birger Torrison and the Satres all learned skiing in their native Norway.) Roy was honored at the banquet with a special award recognizing his achievements and contributions.
