Dear Friend of Salisbury Winter Sports Association, We are so grateful to the many people who gave generously over the past 18 months to help build our new tower and upgrade the facilities at Satre Hill. Thanks to our donors and supporters, SWSA hosted "the best Junior Olympics ever" last winter, and was recognized as Jumping Club of the Year by the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association.
Our most important work is our youth skiing programs. Each year, more area children participate in our Holiday week jumping clinic; many of them have proudly represented SWSA at Lake Placid and other venues. Along with the cross country and downhill ski programs at Salisbury Central, and now at North Canaan Elementary, SWSA touches the lives of well over 200 area children every year.
However, with this success comes increased costs. We need to provide equipment for junior jumpers as they progress, and many families rely on the travel support we provide. In addition, we need to further upgrade our training hills, and add to our snowmaking capability.
In short, we need your continued financial support as partners in the work that we do.
In this season of giving, we hope you will remember SWSA, and make a donation to this unique local cause. Thank you for your support!
On behalf of a very grateful Board of Directors,
Kenneth S. Barker
President
